My boyfriend and I found out about this tour on our last day. The tour has already started when I called in. The gentleman who answered the phone was super helpful and professional. After learning that we are leaving soon, he called the instructor Natasha and helped us to set up a tour outside their regular business hour. What an... More

Well worth the time and money. Our guide Natasha had some great photo tips and a fun way to look at the area. Learned a lot about the Quarter and enjoyed the walk. Will do other trips with this group. By the way, we had all levels of experience and Natasha was able to help all with their shots and... More

Was lucky enough to have Natasha lead this tour. She took me through the basics, increasing my understanding of my camera functions while introducing me to some amazing photographs of the French Quarter. This was a great way to explore the area while learning from someone that obviously enjoys what she does. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking... More

We had a group of 7-8 persons, which included 2 young children with point-and-shoot cameras, with adults who ranged from beginners to intermediates. Natasha was our guide and she was great. She gave individualized attention to all of us and handed out some very good quick reference photo cards regarding settings, etc. She paid attention to everyone in our diverse... More

We'll never look at the French Quarter the same way again. Our guide was knowledge and friendly. She knew how to operate a variety of cameras. We walked the Quarter and took pictures of small details that we'd never noticed without her artistic eye.

This was such a great experience! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and was able to give us so much great info on the area. Plus her photography expertise was really great and she gave us so many good tips for using our camera and seeing things in a different way. This was a wonderful way to spend our Sunday morning... I took the French Quarter tour and had a very nice time. Natasha was a great guide, she taught me some tricks about my Canon 5D that I never knew about. (She was also well versed in Nikon). More importantly she finally taught me how to use my iPhone camera! The tour took us into the quieter, residential section of... More

What a unique experience I had today on the photo tour with Natasha. She first explained the basics of photography and gave me a "cheat sheet" to refer to. The walk was nice, very informative, and gained new insight on framing, angles, lighting, etc. I have been stuck on my preset camera settings and never until today felt comfortable with... More

There were three of us that decided to join up with American Photo Safari for a morning photography walk. Our instructor Natasha was wonderful, experienced, and offered unique artistic perspectives for photography. She knows the French Quarter very well. Our group was interactive. We had perfect weather and covered a lot of ground. We had a great day and would... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
