A group of friends and I booked "The Ghost Tour" for our trip to Nola last weekend. We honestly weren't expecting much, thought it might even be a tad bit ridiculous, but we decided to do despite our doubts! We were so lucky to get Loki as our tour guide and he was incredible. He made the two hour tour... More

Loki was our tour guide and he was full of funny and informative information. We booked this tour on our first day to give us insights on the city and that's what the tour did with the fun flare and great history information. It was even better because we had Loki all to ourselves. The tour ended up being just... More

Jeffrey was wonderful! He navigated me through New Orleans public transit when I was lost so I could arrive on time. I am a senior who is mobility-impaired and he adapted the tour to accommodate those of us "stragglers." His depth of knowledge is amazing. You will learn so much about history that will never be in the mainstream media.

I am a New Orleans native and I have been following the Kennedy assassination for many years. I attended the Oswald conference last weekend and last year. As a former history teacher and lawyer, I have always felt certain that Oswald was not a lone assassin. From Mark Lane's book to the many new books, I have been an avid... More

My girlfriend and I booked the Garden District tour. We were supposed to meet our guide at a Starbucks at 10 am. Around 9:30 am, we received a text from our tour guide. However, 10 am came and no sign or word of our guide. Over the next 15-20 minutes, we repeatedly called Strange True Tours and they tried to... More

Jeffrey's Lee Harvey Oswald tour was awesome. He made a point of keeping the pace of the tour comfortable and the narration clear, objective and fascinating. I was amazed at how close seemingly unrelated location actually are and how they tie together. Well worth taking for those who love history.

The knowledge of the guide was amazing. He told us the history of the area, the building and the people. He made the people come alive. This was my first trip to New Orleans and we went on 4 Strange Tours tours. Each one was different and we learned so much.

During my first trip to New Orleans, I signed up for a few walking tours to see the touristy sites. The Reverend Master Jeffrey Holmes was my tour guide and a font of historical information about the city. I learned so much during these tours. The Rev keeps the tour entertaining and educational with a little bit of snark and... More

This was a great tour! Fun and informative! Rev Jeff did a fantastic job and knows his stuff! He was also very patient with the tour, answering questions and making sure every one could keep up. A must for anyone visiting. Highly recommended!

My sister, my boys (13 & 14), and I had a great time on our tour. Our guide, Loki, who is a native of New Orleans, had lots of great stories and tidbits about the area. He was also very thoughtful in making sure the material was appropriate for my kids but very entertaining as well. We would definitely do... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
