We stopped in because my husband loves the movie, Boondocks Saints. The girl who was bar tending was awesome, great personality. It was great to find a quieter place to have a drink away from the noise of Bourbon street. You can buy a shirt here as well. Cool to see all of the police badges on the ceiling.

LE bar! Great safe place to enjoy brew with fellow LE! Thanks for a Great stay NOLA LE in ES! As all establishments near/ on Bourbon St this one has history but enjoy all the patches, pews along the wall, & different wall hangings.

This is a great place to hide from the craziness of Bourbon Street. The bartender was friendly and the service was great. As we left, the owner thanked us. We'll be back.

Went here 3 times during our last stay in New Orleans! Had a fantastic bartender every time and the people hanging out in the bar were just what we were hoping for-friendly, low key, and just enjoying their drinks. No frills, no drama. Can't wait to go back!

Yes, they play the movie on the tv screen on the wall. This place is a wonderful alternative to the other overpacked Irish bars along the street, and of course, a bit of a respite from the craziness of Bourbon Street around the corner. Definitely worth your time.

I visited this bar on a Sunday afternoon while in town for a conference. The name caught my eye because my husband loves the movie. They have a decent draft selection, including Smithwicks which is one of my favorites, and a friendly bartender staff. They also have "Boondock Saints" playing and a jukebox available. The main reason for only 3... More

This is one of our favorite Bars we frequent when we are in town. The bartenders rock! They are attentive and personal! We like that this bar is not on Bourbon Street! The atmosphere is full of music and alcohol!

My drink was good, and the atmosphere of the pub was cool...but what really made this place special was the bartender. She was nice, welcoming and conversational. If I get back to New Orleans I will definitely go there again, probably more than once.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
