We had an excellent time on the tour in the French Quarter. The customer service from start to finish was top notch, and our food was outstanding. We had quite the mix of Cajun and creole along the way, and did the alcohol pairings which I highly recommend! Our guides were not only friendly, but were extremely professional with our... More

I went on this tour and didn't know what to expect. There were a few paid endorsements for restaurants on and off the tour as well as a cooking school. But the history was interesting and it was fairly well paced. Samples were small but they were tasty I think a fair sampling of New Orleans cuisine.

Libby, the guide began by making everyone feel welcome. Her knowledge of the city and it's history was thorough. The foods tasted were iconic and Libby was able to give the origins in a interesting and informative way. The portions were such that it was possible to enjoy all of the tastes without feeling over-full or short-changed.

It was easy to find the beginning of the tour, and the guide was very nice. I am not sure if it is the fault of the tour company or just the restaurants in question, but they did not seem prepared for our group. A couple of times we had to wait a good little while to get our sample.... More

We had high expectations of this tour to get a real flavor of what NOLA had to offer. We had done a food tour before in Toronto and LOVED it so I thought this would be fun also. Our guide was pretty good, she was well educated and a true NOLA native. BUT the food portions were super small. We... More

My wife and I took our three hour tour with Libby and we just had a blast! So much fun on the food tour. We learned all about New Orleans food, the culture, the difference between Cajun and Creole, and had some fantastic food to boot. This is my second food tour and I think these are going to be... Bob, our tour guide made this tour a great experience for us. He was funny, sarcastic yet knowledgeable with his information. The food was good. A great variety of restaurants were on the tour. Information about New Orleans is all about your tour guide. Bob was very good as what he does.

We really enjoyed our tour with Linda in New Orleans. It was a rainy day and she did a great job editing our tour so that we could find cover quickly. If we had any constructive criticism, it would be for the company's website: other food tours gave an opportunity of listing allergies and aversions to food. Although Linda accommodated... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
