Let's start with the good. The masseuse were great. The horrible, THE Gratuity was over 50% of the Groupon and is 20% for EACH service and not your total visit. Price of Groupon $115 for two, gratuity $54. BTW this DID NOT include tips for our masseuses, which we're still expected to cover, Go figure. I'm all for supporting small... More

We had to wait in a hallway. We were told to wait in a cold room. The temperature was around 65. Possibly lower. We were not offered water or anything. We are then taken to a run that was freezing and the beds were not heated. There were only sheets on the beds so we had to ask for blankets.... More

Do not waste your money at this spa. Very unprofessional. Not relaxing. Outdated. Paid for a 90 minute couples massage (which was not cheap) and was very disappointed. The therapists were lazy and sloppy. No technique. They were not friendly and, in fact, just rude. I would expect better from JW Marriot. No amenities of a true spa.

I should have read these reviews before booking my facial. This was the biggest waste if my money, and time although my 50 minute facial only lasted 40. I've never had a facial with so much "hands off" time. There was virtually no neck shoulder massage (though she said there would be. She applied a product and then I laid... More

I booked a package that included a massage, a facial and a pedicure. When I arrived, the staff was friendly and welcoming. They put me at ease right away. The massage and facial were relaxing and enjoyable. I will agree with other reviewers that the pedicurest could have been more gentle, but the end result was good. I like that... More

I went in and asked for a gel manicure and a pedicure. It was Thursday and was told the woman who did the gels would not be in until Friday, but I could get a shellac mani which was the same. I did not have sandals so I asked if they sold flip flops, which they did. I had two... More

Good massage and facial but one of the worst pedicures (and most painful) I have ever had. The pedicurest was not gentle and filed/trimmed my toes until they were sore/raw. It was the last thing I had done so I just tried to make the best of it. Also I didnt like that they automatically add a % onto the... More

The receptionist was very friendly. I should have known better when I stopped in to make an appt. and no one was there and they could get me in immediately. The spa was cold and not very clean. I should have asked for the massage therapists license as I am pretty sure they pulled him off the street and asked... More

The spa has a warm, inviting atmosphere and a great staff who not only give a great service, but go out of their way to provide clients with information about other things to see and do in this great city! The massage therapists are wonderful and the rooms are always clean and nice looking. I've had nothing but great experiences... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
