My wife and I popped into this church as we were walking around hours before boarding a cruise ship. It was absolutely stunning inside and decorated for Christmas even more so. Worth a look.

While looking for a place to eat on Borboun Street, I saw this beautiful building. We did not enter, but it is certainly something to admire if you come across it.

If you are visiting New Orleans, and are anywhere near Canal Street and Baronne Street in the downtown area, please go and see this church! The church offers tours daily at 3:00, but if you can't make the tour, just go and browse on your own... Locally, the church is known as Jesuit church. I'm not sure what happened to... More

Surranded by huge hotels, this church has a wonderful architecture inside, very peaceful, out of the focus of tourists. Beautiful and worth to visit.

I visited this church for a wedding in June, and the wedding was absolutely beautiful, much in thanks to the church!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
