I have fished with many guides and Capt. Ed is without a doubt one of the best I have ever been with. He truly loves to fish and goes above and beyond to put his clients on the action.
For some of the guys on our trip, this was their first time fishing inshore for Trout and Redfish. Ed was extremely patient with the guys who had never done it before and did a phenomenal job of showing them the ropes.
For the more experienced anglers, Ed did a great job of explaining the area and provided a ton of knowledge for fishing southeast Louisiana.
Overall, Ed was everything we could have asked for in a guide — he was extremely accommodating, he put us on the fish, and he couldn’t have been a nicer guy. We will for sure be booking him again.

My husband and I had an absolutely terrific day with Capt. Ed of St. Bernard fishing charters! Capt. Ed put us right on the fish! I'm by no means an expert fisherman but Capt. Ed couldn't have been more patient with me.
During the day, he gave us information on the area and historical stories on some of the waters structures!
He was so willing to help us with everything from picking us up at our hotel, finding a restaurant to cook our catch to shipping our catch home.
Capt. Ed's love of fishing definitely shines through in his personality!
The charter was one of the highlights of our vacation-we had an awesome time and plenty of fish were caught!!

This was an amazing experience! We had captain Joe. I was afraid of being out in the water, but our captain made everyone feel extremely safe. I knew in less than 30 minutes he had experience and was trustworthy. He put us right on top of the fish, and that was so exciting for my family. We caught 15 redfish, 10 sheepshead, and 2 large mouth bass. We were primarily fishing for the redfish, and which we caught our limit. Our captain waited on our needs the entire trip. He baited every hook, he offered to throw out every cast, he took the fish off the hook, and cleaned, filleted, and bagged every fish we caught. He was sociable and just the right amount of professionalism. We were thrilled we had him as our captain, best one by far!

Captain Ed but us on fish and he is a lot 9f fun. We got rained on and got soaked. But we all had a great time because he joked around with us and keep us all taken care of with baiting our hooks and taking our fish off for us all.

Had a great two days of fishing and fellowship out on the waters of the Golf near Chalmette LA. The first day out was simply wonderful and the second day was even better. I caught the largest Sheepshead I've ever seen,a nice Bull Redfish and a mess of 14 inch Sheepshead.

We are from Louisiana and have fished the Shell Beach area numerous times on our own.. Capt Ed took us to places so far off the beaten path we only saw 2 other fishing boats the whole day which is very rare. Even with gas so high he didn't hesitate to run along way too where the fish are this time of year. He is first rate and his customer service is outstanding. We had wind conditions that weren't ideal ,but he put us on fish and we caught alot of fish. Caught nice speckled trout and white trout. Got on a school of really nice reds and just caught them one after another. Like i said the wind wasn't ideal but he really put the the extra effort to insure we had a great box of fish. We will defintely use him again.

Had the best time fishing with Captain Joe today! Took my 14yo nephew who loves to fish and we had a great time! Capt Joe did his absolute best to outrun the weather, but Mother Nature had other plans. We had prepared for the rain, so it didn’t slow us down. Capt Joe did absolutely everything. He baited every single line thrown out and cleaned the fish when we got back. We enjoyed our fresh catch for dinner tonight and will hopefully plan another trip soon! Thanks again!

Incredible charter experience. They made us get out of bed extra early but by 5:52 am we had already nailed a 12lb fish. TOTALLY worth it. We ended up catching 100fish between 3 boats. I think we ended up keeping around 20 of them to eat between the 11 of our group. If you’re in the New Orleans area and want a 5star fishing experience, hit these guys up. We went out with Jason and he was a great guide and an entertaining captain.

Would like to know what the price is for a day for either a single or couple? We would need out of state fishing license and what would we need to bring? This would be in January.
Written December 28, 2019
The price is $650 for 1 - 3 anglers. You can obtain fishing license “(0079) rs/nr Charter Pass (3-day)” for $10 from State website.

mike.

Hi, looking for a trophy Redfish skipper. Team of 6 from UK, three boats and all fly only. Would expect to catch 4-10 large fish each per day. Third week of August 2019. Cheers
Written August 31, 2018
We do not fish with fly rods but instead you spinning reels. Other than that we can fill your order.

Do you provide fishing trips to locations other than the lake? We did Pontchartrain a couple of years ago. Looking for something different.
Written June 29, 2017
I fish out of Sjell Beach primarily which has access to some of the best redfish and trout fishing in the word. We do not fish out of Lake Ponchatrain.

How many people can you take out at once?
Written April 20, 2017
Legally up to 6 but 5 is pushing it. Ideal is 1 - 4 so everyone can have there own area to cast. We have multiple boat for big groups also.
