Stelae in poor repair but recently uncovered hieroglyphic stairs in great shape. Very peaceful, tranquil site. Despite reviews saying only accessible by river and a long (2-3) walk, this is not correct information. There is a road to a nearby village, and from there it is about a 20 or 30 minute walk that is made daily by the villagers... More

This site is located in the Petexbatun Region of Guatemala and requires a 14 1/2 mile round trip hike or horse ride to visit. A person must first go down the Rio Pasion by boat and be let off at a ranch. When you arrive at the ranch, you can hire a young man to take you to not only... More
