Three dry camping areas with friendly campers from tents, pop ups to larger RV's. Campfire smoke fills the air at night - beautiful star studded evenings and a lake for swimming, canoe, paddleboards and rowboats. Kick back and enjoy!

We chose to drive to Center Lake to get away from the crowd at Legion Lake, but found it to be just as loved as the other location. But it worked out just fine. We stayed and swam and had a great afternoon.

Sort of a hidden gem at Custer State Park. Beautiful setting with a small beach and multiple locations around the lake for a picnic.

Through the Custer Park activities, we saw that Center Lake had fishing (9:30AM-11:30AM) and canoeing (1-3PM) facilitated by park staff. It was fantastic to have someone else bring the bait, poles, and equipment at no additional charge. While Center Lake wasn't the most picturesque of...More

We loved the lake, beautiful setting but eating a picnic lunch while chasing off biting flies wasn't easy. Also, if you are anywhere near the beach it is quite loud. In fairness, it was a scorching hot day and it was the height of the...More
