This is one of the first stops on Needles Highway. Take time to stop here, climb around and see all the views before driving through the tunnel. Pretty location.

So incredible. There is also a needle eye tunnel which is very narrow. The scenery right here at Needle Eye is gorgeous.

Very unusual collection of rocks, look like needles pointing toward the sky! When the sun lights up the rocks you can get great photos!

If you can go no where else in Custer State Park make sure you drive through the Needles Eye, you won't be disappointed. Amazing place to see!

If you are in Custer State Park, be sure to go north toward Sylvan Lodge and then through the Needles. They are interesting.

Go early so you don’t have to deal with as many cars and can enjoy the views more. Absolutely one of my favorite drives in US.

This granite formation does indeed look like a needle's eye. The area is just beautiful with different granite spires, trees, winding roads and tunnels. One can only imagine the amount and force of the water that must have been here so many years ago.

Needles eye is an amazing natural formation with gorgeous views all around. But what I HIGHLY recommend is the Needles Highway. So much to see in this beautiful part of our country.

This was absolutely spectacular as far as rock structures go, and the scenery around it was breathtaking. I spent about 30 minutes on this stop just taking it all in, and generally I am in a hurry. This is a must see. We took a...More
