Nice little walk through a staged old western town. A bit corny but grandson enjoyed, as did me and the wife. Priced right.

Friendly staff very knowledgeable. Kids had a good time. Plenty of time on the self guided tour. $6.00 for the tour and a good history lesson worth the stop.

I didn't hate my experience here. My husband and son seemed to like it better than I did. The place seemed to be falling apart a bit. It cost $6.00 a piece to get in. I guess it was an ok way to spend a...More

In my opinion, this is a must-see in the Black Hills. For the low entry price of $6 a person, my husband and I spent several hours wandering around this fascinating bit of left-over history. Four Mile was a small old-west town that sprung up...More

We stopped by here on the way to out of town. Thought it was going to be something different but it was still kind of cool. The 'store front' was crammed with antiques that were way overpriced but once u paid the 4$ and went...More

Although I felt it was not well kept, meaning there was junk laying around that I felt had nothing to do with an old west town, the old buildings falling apart fit right in with what I would expect an old west (ghost) town would...More

If you are expecting Disney World, do not go. This place is an 1880s town complete with many pre-existing and dilapidated buildings. Some buildings have been rebuilt mostly using old materials where available. The guided tour is given using a cassette recorder - not high...More

We visited this town to get an idea of what it would have been like to live in those times. It was loaded with relics from the past and the buildings seemed very authentic.

We took our grandson and had a great time. If you are looking for less glitz and more reality this is the place. If folks have a complaint about the conditions...stay a spell and volunteer to help out :) It is a great little ghost...More

They are two different attractions; 1880 Town is west of Murdo, SD and Four Mile is in Custer, SD. I very much enjoyed Four Mile - I haven't been to 1880 Town, though, so I can't compare the two.
