Incredibly humble beginnings for this wonderful man. A stark contrast to our excesses and consumerism of today.

I have been wanting to visit Carter's childhood home for years. So glad I made the trip. Start at the National Park Visitor's Center. They give you a map to the home and some other stops along the way. Plus the center has a really...More

This is a very interesting place to visit. You tour at your own leisure the Carter home which is very simple.

My second visit here. Great history here. Good to see the beginnings of a president’s life. I love the National Park Service. Bug spray recommended.

Walking the grounds of the former president is cool! The best part is the audio where the President talks about life in the farm! Plains Georgia is only 700+ people so everyone new everyone! Humble beginnings!

The farm is well maintained. The home looks as if the family just stepped out for a moment. The grounds have easy walking.
