This resort has a great ski lift system. Luckily when we were there it was quiet but when it gets busy they are really kitted out to get people up the mountain & spread out. There are lots of runs, nice & wide, plenty of...More

The snow was not good for boarders, but generally good for skiing. A little limited and became a little boring by the end of seven days skiing. If we had good snow, then I am sure it would have been stunning. Skiing to Switzerland was...More

Despite the lack of snow storms prior to Christmas, Ischgl/Silvretta made enough man made snow to make the skiiers happy. I can't imagine what this ski area is like when there have been a few storms! Amazing amount of terrain for on or off-piste skiiers,...More

My third time skiing there. I have been skiing in France, Italy, Switzerland, St. Anton and Kitzbuhel in Austria, and even California. No doubt, this one is the best. Wide slopes with a lot of variety, and even when it is not snowing, they cover...More

We have visited a few ski places in Austria, but by far Ischgl-Samnaun area is the best that we've discovered. Excellent accommodation conditions, good dining and a lot of apres-ski activities. Good bars and night clubs concur to this conclusion. Duly recommending it.

No, not unless you want to explore the wider area. The village itself is not thaaat big, you can easily walk around. Also, there's a tunnel for pedestrians that connects the two main areas of the village.

There's lot of easy tracks for the beginners although they get crowdy during the day. For beginners I would recommend one of the neighbor ski areas: Kappl, Galtur or See. All of them are in the same valley as Ischgl and are... More
