Great ruins and a beautiful garden, a nice restaurant and tasting center, we had sandwiches and both a draft and a bottle, yes there's a difference! The bottles are aged and the tap is fresh.

Interesting spot. Beautiful grounds. Neat to see all the history over the centuries. Stopped at cafe and enjoyed some of the beer that is brewed at the monastery as well as sampling some of their cheese. Was a good value for the ticket.

The ruins were absolutely incredible and the size of the monastery is gigantic. The church is beautiful and the grounds are kept spotless. The beer was good and the cultural impression was huge.

The Abbey is stunning, and the ruins are very beautiful and romantic. I had a wonderful time just wandering around. However, like others have said, I wish you were allowed in the "new" Abbey. You can get a glimpse inside from a little window in...More

Beautiful abbey with romantic ruins. It is situated in a lovely valley. And the monks make and sell their own Trappist beer which is definitely a must to try

Looks beautiful from the outside. Didn't realise you only walk amongst the ruins. Secondly don't understand why dogs are not allowed, certainly better behaved than some children, and are allowed in almost every restaurant. Why can they not have a glass wall between visitors and...More

I don't think so, but am not sure. We were there on a weekend and could only visit the brewery museum, but not the real production. The museum was also very interesting. Maybe there are more opportunities during the working... More
