Paddling Kona’s clear, pristine waters since 1994, Ocean Safari’s Kayak Adventures have introduced countless visitors and Kama’aina (Island Locals) to the fast growing sport of kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, and paddle-surfing. We focus on small groups of adventurers, making safety and fun top priority. Every Kayak tour is different and may include dolphin and whale watching, snorkeling, sea cave exploration and maybe even cliff jumping. You may see tidal pools filled with eels, sea turtles and colorful tropical fish while wild parrots can at times be seen flying overhead. Join us for a night snorkel with manta rays! All our guided adventures are led by experienced watermen/women who are Hawaii Lifeguard Certified and we are fully insured. Ocean Safari’s Kayak Adventures assist with water safety at Kona’s annual Ironman Triathlon as well as other water events.

Enjoyed a great trip with 'Happy' on Wed May 10th. We arrived via the cruise ship Pride of America on Wed May 10th. Took a short cab ride to the pier and met the crew. This was a small, intimate adventure. You don't need to have experience with kayaking, but expect a good workout and fantastic scenery. The weather was... More

1) Hundreds of dollars wasted. 2) A learning opportunity for you at the end of my review - ask them this question before signing up! Opposite of what you'd think - Their terms highlight that poor weather conditions may be cause for reschedule or refund. In Kona, the primary weather issue will be high winds. You'd think the company would... More

We had the best time with Ha'oli on our tour! It was the highlight of our trip. He was sensitive to our needs and shared lots of awesome stories about the island. Thank you!

We made our way out into the open ocean and headed to the first sea cave but the seas were too active to enter. Same for the other cave where the cliff jumping usually happens. The upside is we had great weather and pretty big seas so it was fun and exciting. Our guide Happy was great told interesting stories... More

Great day and great work out. Just make sure to have a hat and sunscreen. The sites are unbelievable. We bought disposable waterproof cameras for some wet photos which turned out good.

"Happy" our Guide for the day was great. Hard work kayaking on the ocean and being open kayaks be sure to wear sunscreen. The caves, the snorkeling, the cliff jump and the picnic were fantastic. 3 Hours of exploring - so worth it.

Ha-Ole is a friendly, knowledgeable tour guide. I was lucky enough to have a very small group of 3, including myself, and Ha-Ole told us a bit about Hawaiian legends, the best places to get poke, and a bit about the sea life. The pace was nice and leisurely, nothing too strenuous. I'd definitely do it again.

We had a great time with this tour! It was a bit of a paddle out and back but so worth it. The time was wonderful.

This kayak tour departs from Keahou Bay. You have the option of being in a one- or two-person kayak. The kayaking portion of the tour spans about 3 miles total, with stops for attractions throughout. I will start with the tour guides, Devin and Keahi (I apologize for any spelling errors). They were both professional, kind, knowledgeable, and fun to... More

Go off the beaten path and enjoy a non-commercial, personal, local experience. Two thumbs up for Ha'Oli (sp?) as a guide. He recovered my son's sunglasses while we were cliff jumping--he didnt have to do that. We really, truly enjoyed our morning. So relaxed. Easy to talk to. My 9 and 12 yr old had a blast. I enjoyed being... More
