What an amazing beach! The photos you see here are real. The water is that turquoise and the sand is very fine. Great swimming too. You also have a shower to wash the sea water off, restrooms and a food truck with many options. Location...More

Just a wonderful, natural beach, no shade so bring your own, no food or drinks available unless the food truck is in the parking lot. Speaking of parking, it is mostly along the winding road that leads down to the beach, but you can drive...More

Such an amazing beach with the brightest blue water. The sand was wonderful, too. I encourage everyone to check it out. Small walk down to beach but worth it. Parking is not vert abundant though.

The title says it all! Easy access to a great beach that during the week is not crowded. The water in November was perfect! Highly recommend!

This is one of the top three beaches. Take your umbrellas though, no shade. Beautiful crystal blue water and if your lucky you will see a turtle or two.

This beach was great - plenty of sand, and the snorkelling on the north side had many different types of fish, as well as several turtles (we also saw turtles at the shore since there is a small rock reef there which they seem to...More

Kua Bay Beach is my most favorite beach on the Big Island. Crystal clear blue water and white sand beach. A must visit when visiting the Big Island.

This beach is beautiful and a great option for families. The water is clear and the sand is soft. If you get here early enough, you may see dolphins in the bay. We saw many turtles swimming around too. The water is warm and excellent...More

Read some reviews on this beach and thought we'd check it out. The water is amazing! So turquoise it will impress you. The sand is white and very soft. Waves were decent for boogie boards but too rough to snorkel. Looks like they are working...More

Don't know cause improvements started in mid March just when we were leaving. There was an outdoor shower to rinse off but that may have changed because of the construction. This is a news article I found --- The Hawai‘i... More

No there’s no bike racks, but if you park at the first parking area (no signs there, but you’ll see cars parked and a wide path to the right). You can ride your bike on the path until you enter the beach pathways. You can... More

it's been a few months since I've been there so I don't remember perfectly. I *think* the access road does not close, so it is always open. if the road has a barrier, there wll be a sign and if so, pay attention to it... More
