Beautiful beach with calm waves on days we visited! Wear supportive shoes to traverse the lava rocks to get to beach. Easy parking with restrooms and showers. Some of the clearest water you will see.☮️🌊

I planned on going to this beach but was a bit hesitant since a lot of TripAdvisor reviews mentioned that it's hard to get to and requires a trek over volcanic rock from the highway that can be tricky. This is NOT true! We went...More

One of our favorite beaches for sunbathing and swimming / snorkeling. The water is very clear and the surf wasn't to big. Have to get back!

Absolutely gorgeous beach. Lots of sand and great waves for body surfing. I saw a turtle swimming by twice. There is also a food truck, definitely get a Hawaiian flavor shave ice with coconut cream topping! YOU WON'T REGRET!

We wanted a beach that was similar to Makalawena, but a bit easier to access for our kids. This one did the trick! White sand, great surf. Occasionally the waves were powerful, but overall this was the perfect place for my 8 and 10 year...More

It's only about 13 miles north of the cruise port but the traffic is usually heavy - especially going back south towards the ships. Seems like there is always construction. Depending on the time of day I'd allow 25 minutes... More
