Fabulous wine tasting experience. The owner took us on a short tour and then he brought out each wine and took time to explain the history of each one. Enjoyed also hearing his stories on the history of Croatian wine production. All of the wine was excellent. We bought three bottles and plan to order some. They do ship to the USA. Beautiful second floor tasting area with amazing views.

We enjoyed the entire experience. We met both of the brothers that run the wine room while their dad tends to the vineyard. The tour of the cellar and fields was enjoyable and informative. The new tasting room is a little loud when it fills up but the views are amazing. We enjoyed the complexity of the wines and the stories of how and why they came to be. We look forward to getting our case delivered to CA some time in the fall.

I have been visiting Croatia for twenty years. During that time, I have met such an array of amazing and genuine people. Consequently, it was such a disappointment to visit this winery. The persons I met were so focused on the hard sell of their tasting and tours, it made me simply lament that lost Dalmatian hospitality that is starting to creep into places on the coast with the ever increasing tourist numbers. It was all about trying to squeeze the most out of us for their expensive tasting options and at the end of it all, they even tried to hawk a bottle of wine (500 Kunas) which rivalled the cost of the Grand Cru wines that I buy cellar door in Burgundy. In fact, when I had the temerity to question what was on offer, the young fellow became aggressive. I came here for a fine wine experience - but all I was offered was a fight.

This winery is situated at the beginning of the Peljesac Peninsula and as such, does not benefit from the characteristics of the famed Dingac region further on. All this winery seems to have going for it is that it is the nicest looking one in the village. Don't be fooled. And my strong advice is push on and see what Peljesac really has to offer in places like Potomje.

The peninsula of Pelješac is the home of many good wineries and Frano Miloš is one of them. He makes wine the way his forefathers did. No new oak barriques with months of ageing to shape the wine. Frano uses the traditional 2000 liters Slavonian oak barrels for his wines and the results are remarkable. He only grows Plavac mali, with wonderful results. His Stagnum Rosé 2012 is one of the best rosés you would ever wish for, and his Plavac 2009 and Stagnum 2006 are just as remarkable. This is traditional Croation wine-making at its best.

On our drive from Split to Dubrovnik, we stopped at this winery. What a wonderful experience! The brothers, Iven and Josep were so welcoming and easy in their sharing of their family history in wine making. We bought a half case and they will ship it to us in Oregon this Fall. I highly recommend this spot and am thankful we stopped by.

Milos Winery was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. I am fascinated by the many regions of the world that have great climate and soil for growing grapes but it is the family’s stories that are always so intriguing.

This winery is a short drive from Ston and a must see for any serious wine enthusiast!

We visited here on a pre-booked wine tasting. We tried a variety of their different wines, which were served with cheese and breadsticks, a nice touch. The winery itself is quite small, and obviously can't compare to the size, scale, architecture or atmosphere of top wineries you may have visited in California, (or in Niagara if you're Canadian), so don't go with that sort of expectation.

We are wine aficionados, so we prefer more complex wines. A couple of their top end wines were very good, but also very expensive due to their small scale, so we did not buy any. Personally we preferred comparable high-end offerings from Korta Katerina, Grgich and Bibich if you are looking for the best Croatian wines, but everyone obviously has different tastes, so experience it and compare for yourself.

Having said that, their olive oil is truly "to die for!", and we bought a bottle to bring back to Canada. We tried a large number of olive oils while in Croatia, and theirs really stands out over the rest. It has a delicious fresh and distinctive flavour, and it was actually served to us subsequently in a couple of the really high end restaurants. You must go to Milos to try it, definitely the best we've ever had.

We wanted to tour Milos winery, as Mr. Milos is known as a creative, fantastic winemaker. After meeting the man himself, his son, Josef, gave us a tour of the cellar, where Plavac Mali is aged in Slavonian oak prior to bottling----the oldest barrel is dated 1942! Then we tasted through all of his Plavac offerings (the rose and sweet dessert wines were not available) as Josef explained the aging process and the vintages. The Stagnum 2003 was our favorite----a stunning wine. We'd have purchased more of it if there was a way to ship it to the US.
Great tour with an excellent English speaker, who was deservedly proud of his family's contribution to Croatian wine, and to their completely organic production. The Milos family owns approximately 37 acres of vineyards.

Stopped by this winery while driving thru the peninsula to Korcula. This family owned establishment is very well run. Frano's son gave us a tour and tasting. He is well spoken, polite and very professional. They are proud of what they've done at the winery and they should be! The wine, oh goodness, the delicious wine. The plavac Mali was incredible. They pride themselves on not aging the wine in new oak and let the expression of the grape speak for itself. It is so true, unlike any wine I've ever tasted. I felt like I was drinking a steak and wanted to tear into a piece of savory meat while drinking it. Über delish! I also like that they can ship to the EU. I wanted to buy more there, but couldn't fit it all in for a flight. Definitely worth a stop.
