Mush the 2013 Iditarod champion sled dogs! Visit Seavey's IdidaRide racing kennel, where four generations of the Seavey family and 100 of the toughest dogs in the world train during the summer months. You'll be helping train their 46th Iditarod team for their 4th championship. Cuddle the adorable husky puppies, try on the gear worn when it's 40 below, and get a pawtograph from their Golden Harness winning lead dogs. Sleds with padded seats and suspension, fully covered tour, and dog themed gift shop make this the most fun you can have in Seward in the rain. Voted "Best Sled Dog Ride in Alaska" by readers of the Alaska Magazine.

If you are a fan of amazing canine athletes and Alaska's premier distinctive event, the Iditarod Sled Dog Race, then you can't miss Seavey's Ididaride tours. A great family-friendly experience, and run by our Alaskan Iditarod celebs who have 3 generations of champion mushers and the reigning canine bloodline.

Wow, what a brilliant day. Albeit a little chilly, maybe less than 12 degrees, we arrived in Seward to a cloudy day, & cloud covered ice capped mountains. We walked the 10 minutes to the railway station, where we were picked up by the Seavey’s Ididaride Sled Dog Tours bus. The tour began with a tour of the town, then... More

The best activity for all unless you don't like dogs. Good value. Personal service. You meet the real Iditarod mushers and Seavey family members in the business.

Great tour of the kennels, seeing sled dog puppies and a fantastic sled ride with the dogs. Elyssa was a wonderful tour guide with lots of great tidbits My husband and I did the extended tour which included a hike up Exit Glacier and a tour of Seward. Lunch at Resurrection Roadhouse was a bonus. We loved the whole tour!

Dogsledding was on my must-do list when I went to Alaska. My sister and I were in Seward for part of our trip, and decided to go to Seavey's IdidaRide for the ultimate experience on 5 September 2016. The friendly staff really gave us unique insight into the sport of dogsledding and a newfound respect for the training that both... More

Going on a sled dog ride was one of my must dos for this trip & what an experience it was! I can't say enough about these 4 legged athletes. As for this tour, everyone at the Seavey's place made this tour great. Very knowledgeable & eager to make this an enjoyable visit for their guests. After our visit we... More

The best part was the dog sled ride!!! They did educate us on what true dog sled is like, what we see in the movies, not so much...but they did have some movie dogs there, so my kids loved it! The gift shop was lacking....a lot, they miss the boat there, but the trip was great!!

My grandchildren loved going to this tour. It included a visit to the dog kennels, a wheeled-car tour in the woods, and cuddling with puppies.

My wife and I went to Alaska this past summer and spent two days in Seward. Although not originally on our plan, we decided to visit the IdidaRide Sled Dog Tour on our last day in Seward (after we went ziplining). The two-hour tour allowed us to see about a hundred sled dogs, pet and hold some 3 week old... More
