Seward Harbor has something for all ages. The scenery is amazing! There are a variety of shops and eateries. It is fun to see the boats come in at the end of the day and see what the charters have produced - halibut, salmon, ling cod, and rock fish. The museum is an added bonus.

Interesting to walk thru and see all the different types of water craft. Of course the tour boats leave from this harbor. Take a tour.

Must trip for a developmental biologist, just bring your sea legs. Halibut don't care whose line they bite. I pulled in quota on Halibut and bonus rock fish before the rolling sea took my lunch.

If you are in Seward you must visit the Harbor. You can see private and commercial fishing vessels, US Coast Guard ships, and all sorts of other watercraft. In the evening we saw an otter entertaining himself eating clams, cracking them on his belly as he swam on his back. Some of the fishing crews were with their ships and... More

I spent ages trying to photograph sea otters at a distance from a boat and then a local told me that they are always in Seward Harbour. The fisherman throw fish to them and they float around on their backs posing for photographs. Wish I'd know that sooner.

The boats tied up at the docks were really a sight to be seen. There is also a deep warter port for cruise ships to go to, but none were there while we were. Plenty of sea otters and ducks swimming too.

We only had a minimum time to spend in Seward and explored the harbor area which was very practical and sensible to admit cruise ships and their passengers

Beautiful harbour, lots of sea otters which are very comical little characters, could watch them for hours. The boat harbour is easily accessible and an interesting place to wander around.

Seems like the cruise ships dock on one side of this marina and on the other side (a 15 minute flat walk) is where all of the tourist shops and operaters work from. All the whale watching boats seem to leave from in the marina or as they call it Small Boat Harbour.

It's basically the heart of Seward with little tourist shops up and down the harbor. There are some pretty big tour boats here and we got to see a few seals playing along the docks. Nice picturesque area that screams you're in Alaska.
