Best part of cursing it when you get to take in all the beautiful scenery along the way. Our view of Mt. Marathon was everything we dreamed it would be. We would love to return and hike around it someday.

Yes you can go by yourself and most people do not carry bear spay or bells. However, you should be in good physical shape and have some hiking experience. The trail (even on the easier trail) is quite steep. Follow the... More

weather is difficult to predict in advance. it will certainly be cold. best to be well clothed and take a chance if you are in Seward.
