The aquarium offered so much information regarding seal life in Alaska! The story of salmon was so interesting. We saw otters, seals, and touched starfish. It is great for adults and children. There were also examples of most fish found in the area swimming in...More

Educational and reasonably priced, this was a nice alternative for a stormy day. Loved the puffins! It wasn’t too crowded when we went. We were 5 adults (3 in their 20s). All enjoyed the museum.

Loved the exhibits here, especially the water birds - the puffins jumped right up on the railing in front of me & walked or hopped onto rocks. You could also see them underwater as well as the fish in their tank. The sea lions also...More

A great place for children and adults alike to learn about creatures of the sea and how to protect them. A couple of exhibits showed how much rubbish we dump into the ocean. A good part of the day could be spent in here with...More

Nice small museum. Takes around 1-2 hours if you are not a super fan in marine life but just generally interested. Specially recommend to people going on a wildlife viewing trip later.

My wife and I spent almost 4 hours at the Center. Learned quite a bit about the environment and how the sea life is affected (seemed to be overly concerned on this). Nice display of puffins which we did not see in the wild on...More

Contact the Alaska Sealife Center directly. I believe they have regularly scheduled behind the scenes tours, but probably do them on special requests also. The staff is very informative and available for questions.
