So peaceful, saw American Bald Eagles, Bears, and Salmon. What can I say but that you must see this place to appreciate it.

So calming and beautiful. We sat there and watched an eagle glide across the water looking for food. Kinda out of the way, but worth the drive. Be sure to stop at the salmon weir along the way.

We just went to see the lake and check out the fish. We did not go on the hiking trail. On the way to the lake is a little river that the salmon run. That was worth the stop.

The lake is so beautiful. We had a pair of eagles sitting in a tree when we visited. We also went on a nice hike through the woods around the lake. Stop and check out the Weir on the way to the lake.

I found myself frequenting various parts of Bear Lake on my trip to the area. Start at the trailhead off of Bear Creek Rd and short walk will place you at the mouth of the creek, where, if the right time of year, you'll see...More

We parked and walked around the lake. While we did not see bear on the trail we could tell they had been there. We watched the salmon both at the lake and working their way up the stream. It was great fun. An eagle came...More
