Bear Glacier Kayaking Tour. An other worldly, totally unique experience. Mandy, our guide, was first rate. We got lucky and had two icebergs "flip" while we were there. The weather wasn't the best, but it was totally awesome anyway. I am so glad I got to do this.

Great activity! The lagoon is chuck full of ice bergs right now. It is sort of a combo activity-- it is a beautiful boat trip to the lagoon, we saw starfish, puffins, and seals. Then you get to the lagoon itself and you get to kayak around the ice bergs (you can't get too close to the really big ones because of concerns they could roll on you). The lagoon is serene-- we were the only tour group there. The reflections of the mountains and the ice bergs in the calm water is spectacular. I suffer from sea sickness but the ride our and back was no problem-- don't let that put you off this trip. Our guide (think his name was Nick) worked hard for us and we appreciated his positive, friendly, attitude. Thanks for the yummy brownies and hot chocolate!

For what it's worth, I rarely write reviews unless my experience is either spectacular or really dissatisfying. This was Spectacular. My son and I wanted to go on our first multi-day expedition-style kayak and camping trip in Alaska. I spent many hours researching and interviewing different outfitters and guides in late spring and finally landed on Liquid Adventures (LA). It's always a sort of coin-toss when you sign up with small local firms but we decided to go with the fully-provisioned three-day tour of the Kenai glaciers. That means that all we brought were clothes (raingear) and sleeping bags. They did the rest.

Everyone I worked with at LA was friendly, helpful and accommodating. Everything from their equipment, orientation, boat transportation partners, logistics and meals were exceptional. But it's the people who make the biggest impact. Our guide Mike was the absolute best. Besides being an expert naturalist, kayaker, camper and cook, he was simply a delight to have as company. Mike worked so hard to make sure we were involved at every step of the trip. He explained all the different options and choices as we mapped out each leg of the trip.

LA's culture and training really come through in the many little details that make everything run seamlessly. James and the team are true pros who make their jobs look like fun (even though we know it's hard work). We cannot recommend them highly enough and will definitely look to book with them again.

Brilliant day out. Liquid Adventures were both friendly and professional. Mandy and James did a top notch job, as did the two captains on the water Taxi that took us to Aialik and back. As a first time kayaker I felt safe and comfortable. I read a review that complained a quarter mile out wasn't close enough, but as far as I'm concerned, getting too much closer had the potential to be dangerous, and this company are being responsible in their policy. Thanks for a wonderful experience. Very much appreciated.

This was an amazing day trip! The glacier view from the water was exciting and because it was actively calving it was even more impressive to watch and experience. Our guide was lovely and kind and always encouraging during our kayaking experience. We saw some amazing sea life on the trip back! Very exciting and worth the day!

We had an amazing trip to Aialik Glacier. Water taxi is longer than expected and we only saw one whale on the way out (but also a sea lion on the way back). But kayaking part is interesting and we saw sea otters and black bears! Approaching to the glacier is cool, but we don’t have a chance to get really close to the ice like some other photos show, unfortunately. I guess it’s because it’s summer.

My Son and I had a memorable experience at Bear Glacier. Extra Special Shout Out to our guide who provide a treat of Coconut Oil Brownies that were to die for.

Sure would love that recipe.

Thank You.

Fun adventurous day kayaking Bear glacier. Since this company is one of the only ones that goes to Bear glacier, there was just our 4 kayaks paddling around the beautiful lagoon with icebergs and great views of the mountains. It was quiet, peaceful, and a great way to experience Alaska. Mike, who was our guide, was organized, knowledgeable, personable and friendly. He also brought us some delicious snacks and hot chocolate to have during our time on the water … which was a nice surprise. We also lucked out and had a day with no rain! Highly recommend!

I would do this tour again in a heartbeat. We originally booked an SUP tour, but due to the conditions of the bay, we did kayaking instead. Our tour guide and boat driver were everything I could hope them to be. They were kind, approachable, knowledgeable, and fun. They helped us spot wildlife and kept us safe.

AMAZING! took the jetboat to bear glacier lagoon and kayaked amongst the glaciers. Our guide was so patient and helpful, our jet boat drivers were great and personable. We had a couple in our party who were a bit scared of the whole experience but in the end it was the highlight of our trip. Don't hesitate to book with this company
