The park has many trails that you see families and school trips walking through. Often in the summer there are also live reenactments of the civil war battles that took place during the Civil War. It is a beautiful park that early in the morning you can see deer grazing as well. Many also use this as a great place... More

The Park Visitors' Center is small, but well appointed and full of good info. This is a great place if you just want to sit on the grass for a nice picnic or drive up to see spectacular view from the top of the mountain. If you're ready to get active, there's a great hike up the mountain which takes... More

Not only was the small parking lot for the visitors center full, so was the large overflow lot down the block. The crazy thing was that there were very few people actually in the visitors center or looking at the civil war areas and monuments. Most were there to walk, run or walk their dogs. I understand it is a... More

The view from the top of the mountain is stunning! We drove up the mountain and then when we came down we parked in the overflow parking on Old Hwy 41 where we found a nice trail to walk with our small dog. It was surprisingly not buggy and very clean. It is so nice to see the respect it... More

Been here many times and you can see downtown Atlanta great on a clear day. They have some of the cannons used in the Kennesaw Battle. Great place to visit with the family. They also have a large grassy area perfect for a picnic.

We drove all the way to the top, I saw a trail that had a sign that said visitor center .08 miles. I told my coworker I would meet him at the bottom. I really enjoyed the walk down, very beautiful, lots of people but not overly crowded.

I absolutely loved visiting this park! I am not necessarily a big Civil War history fan, but I really liked this visit. This park is beautifully situated at the base of the Kennesaw Mountain area. A huge gently sloping lawn marks one of the battlefield areas, and when I was there in mid-April, it was a cool, clear and sparkling... More

Nice facility with museum and video explaining the war. Drove to the top. Noticed a nice trail for those wanting to walk or run. Learned quite a bit about the civil war and the attempt to save Atlanta from the Union troops.
