Experience the Alaska State Sport! Each summer, mushers bring their sled dogs to our Musher’s Camp for summer training, and you can participate in one of their training runs when 16 Alaskan Huskies pull your custom-designed, wheeled summer sled down a mile-long forested trail. You’ll also ride an all-wheel drive Unimog up our mountain, cuddle up with our adorable husky puppies, learn about this adventurous sport in our interactive “Kennel Talk,” and so much more!

Great activity! When else can you experience dog sledding?! Very knowledgeable and informative staff. Dogs are actually being exercised while pulling passengers on the tours. Loved having the time to play with and hold the puppies also.

You’d have to check the cost but to do snow you would either do a helicopter or plane tour that would take you where the snow is. Probably around $500 usd.

It’s $600 per person to take a helicopter to a glacier and do dog sledding. But beware, most of them get cancelled. I tried in two ports and both were cancelled for weather (this was in August).

We booked via the cruise ship but they should be online or on the TripAdviser "Things to do in Skagway" page
