Great neighborhood park on the shores of lake Washington. Good swimming beach in summer. Good for running all years long. Great visitor center and lending library. There is ample parking. If you are a tourist, this is a great way to experience the ambience of seattle as the locals do.

This gem of a park offers picnicking, biking, swimming and a great kids park (esp 2-8 year olds). What people don't always try out is the great inner old-growth forest hiking trails. Or the wildlife-- from eagles to herons, coots, turtles, woodpeckers and owls among others. You should also check out the visitor center and their classes for all ages.

It is right next to Lake WA and not often super crowded. I wouldn't recommend going late at night or at dusk. But it is a great place to hang out for the day, especially when it is hot. Plan on going around lunchtime and having a picnic and it will make for a great/cheap day/date.

Seward Park can be very busy during the summer months. Rainy day visits are a favorite of mine. The trails tend to be empty. It is one the gems of the Seattle Parks department. If you haven't been you need to plan a visit.

We go walking the dogs here. Its a nice looped park, one side is the lake and one is the forest. Beautiful! The park does get a bit busy during the summer months. Parking can also be tight. There is a park with swings for kids to play and plenty of folks walk their dogs here. If you want to... More

Gorgeous views and an amazing 2 Mike walk around the loop! A must see! There are picnic areas and swimming in the summer with life guards. Truly a special place!

Such a stunning park for a nice long walk next to Lake Washington under a canopy of old growth trees. Toward the end of the walk the lake curved into a small bay containing what felt like thousands of lily pads with pink and white lilies floating atop them. Peaceful bliss. Loved this park.

Seward Park is a thumb of land that sticks out into Lake Washington. This gives the park over 2 miles of lake view from the path that follows the lakeside. There are also multiple trails that wind through the interior of the park. In addition, there are play areas and a beach with lifeguards. This is picnic heaven.

This lovely park was near where we stayed in the Columbia City neighborhood of Seattle. Right on Lake Washington, it has wonderful views of the lake and Mt. Rainier. Easy walking trails and it attracts a great cross section of Seattle residents.
