From what I understand, there is an east side and west side of Alki Beach. The west side includes the lighthouse and the sandy beach. A nice place for sunset photos. The east side, by Seacrest Park, offers a spectacular view of the Seattle Skyline....More

I visited the beach but was too cold to get in the water. There were activities nevertheless like volleyball. Much better when it is warmer

Another must see location. A walk along Alki beach will make you think you are in Cali, or maybe even NJ. A great walk that you will remember.

Had a chance to visit Alki Beach on nice Sunny day. The paved walkway along the beach was filled with people. There is a bike lane which allows roller blades, rickshaw and others. A small sandy beach for playing frisbee or catching ball. The best...More

I love this beach, especially the biking/running trail. You can park (if you can find a spot), run from the beach to the point where you have breathtaking views of Seattle, then run back and have lunch or dinner. There are some fun sculptures to...More

The "South Beach" of Seattle. The place is packed out during the summer, but its still great to get some water, sand, music and eye candy on a summer day. You'll have to look around a bit, but usually can snag a street parking spot

I have a friend that lives in the area. I visit several times a year and really enjoy this quiet (most of the time) community. Lots of restaurants/food in general, I suggest a quick check on Air BandB, there are many. Beautiful views active people...More

The boardwalk is a great place to walk or rollerblade, even with the kids. It is lined with restaurants and cafes for every taste. The views are iconic and the beach is great fun. It's Seattle, so don't expect warm water. But beach bonfires at...More

Fun beach made famous in the movie Sleepless in Seattle. The mini Statue of Liberty is fun to see. Great place to take a walk. Lots of restaurants nearby.

We took a water taxi and rented bikes at that same spot. The ride to the Alki beach trail was short and safe :)

My boyfriend and I have walked our dogs randomly around midnight. We saw quite a bit of people walking around. But like anywhere I would watch for safety. When it gets warmer I expect there will be even more traffic.
