The Alki Point Lighthouse in West Seattle is fascinating little spot full of local history. A perfect place to swing by while checking out the West Seattle Farmers Market. Lots of interesting artifacts and friendly US Coast Guard Auxiliary tour guides are on hand during...More

It looks like a very beautiful and well kept lighthouse. It closed at 3:30 for tours according to the sign, so we couldn't go into the fenced area. The lighthouse is surrounged by private homes so you have to know it is there to find...More

Alki Beach and surrounding area is most definitely worth a visit. But don't make a special trip just to see the lighthouse. Go for the views of the water and the mountains.

Nice park, and clean location. Bump into some very polite local people, and enjoyed one hell of a view. Nice, quiet area for a personal picnicking, and if your into lighthouses, well worth it.

We were able to make the tour which runs summer weekends in the afternoon. Check their website for more info - they even have someone responding to emails regarding the light. The guides were very knowledgeable and I was able to climb the tower for...More

There were specific timings for a guided tour. Other than that, it belonged to a private residential area which outsider like us are not permitted to enter. Alki Beach itself is good enough for me and I did not really find the guided tour worthy...More

The tours are held on weekends and there isn't all that much to see as the lighthouse is small. The original light is amazing and the grounds on which the lighthouse is located are lovely and not open to the public except for when the...More

This is an active lighthouse still owned/run by the US Coast Guard. It's an active duty station so don't expect tourist hours. Lighthouse tours are only available during summer weekends (May-August). Wonderful views of Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountains from the 37 foot height....More

If you're going just to check out the lighthouse you might be disappointed (depending on your expectations). Alki Point is worth a visit just by itself, it's really nice a low tide on a sunny day.

Alki point is just beautiful but your access to the lighthouse may be restricted because of special events like weddings. Alki Point and the beach are in a high end residential area but parking was not a problem while we were there on a Thursday...More

No was unable to get to lighthouse. It's on a coast guard gated insulation and didn't do tours til June 1.
