Seward Park and Mercer Island are right here. You can see lots of different types of waterfowl and on this visit we saw a bald Eagle. Driving over the floating bridge over Lake Washington is a hoot.

Lake Washington is part of the soul of the city and the region. It is very large (long-north/south) with many places you can see it and enjoy it. If you're visiting Seattle this needs to be on your must visit places.

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington for 5 days and although the was a lot of smoke haze, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and walks along the lakes edge. Found a wonderful little French cafe.

I actually had not heard about this until your question, I plan to also go check this out now since it's not too far from my neighborhood. Hope you get the chance to visit.
