You could be on this trail and not even know it. You could be in Ballard or Fremont or the Gasworks, or the University area or all the way up in Kenmore. The 25+ mile trail is popular with walkers, joggers and cyclists. Part of...More

This Trail was wonderful. I took it from Fremont to Gas Works Park and then on to the University of Washington Campus. They have signs guiding you to it and it is nice and paved and wide for both walkers and cyclists.

I ride this route (bicycle) from Kenmore to Seattle fairly freequently. Great views, easy to follow, not too crowded. Only negative if riding your road bike, the roots under the pavement sometimes of the year make it quite a bumpy ride. Upkeep is difficult. Otherwise,...More

Great august weather & 72° with little humidity. . Lots of families, joggers, older walking people, as well as experienced riders.. everyone was curtious. Crossing roads was also friendly to bikers.. most cars gave way to us..

Loved the variety of scenery on this trail; a lot of it was covered with trees for shade although not all of it; we rode 20 miles up, to close to the end of the trail where we ate at Hollywood Tavern I think it...More

The Burke Gilman trail is a true gem, being the first rail to trail conversion in the region. It links the suburban communities to the north and east of Lake Washington to Seattle, passing through the University of Washington campus and the Fremont and Ballard...More

This is one of those great outdoor assets of Seattle. Even if you just go for a short walk it's worth a visit. Lots of people bike, run and walk on the trail. This time of year is really a nice time to be outside.
