Wooden boats

If you love wooden sailboats this is it. Old boats of many classes. All beautiful. Most available for charter! Docents are very knowledgeable. Seem to have programs for kids

There was not much at this little center, although what they did have was neat, I would have to say the best part was sitting at the end of the dock watching the tour seaplanes take off and land. I didn't spend all that much time here.

Fun, low key collection of wooden boats right next to MOHAI at South Lake Union Park. Try the free boat rides on Sundays!

We got there about 9:30 and the line was already pretty long. We didn't get on a sail boat like I was hoping but we got on a smaller boat that fit the 3 of us and got more a more personal/private tour of the lake which was a bit better in my opinion! Great FREE thing to do in... More

While this is a low-key attraction without entry fee or crowds, we enjoyed it immensely. Lots of old boats in various states of repair and restoration. Free rides if you want them.

Stop by to see the very cool wooden boats. They have their own parking and its marked. If you get one of those spots it's free. The boats are beautiful. They also have an old fire boat too, as well as other types. It is interesting and they have a cool small gift shop.

I somehow came across a site that said they had free sailboat rides here on Sundays?!?!? REALLY! I couldn't believe that but its true. Starting 10am-4pm they offer rides on various boats. You need to get there about 9.15 so that you can choose what boat you'd like to try. Then they give you a time slot and you come... More

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. only on Sundays, they provide free sail boat rides on Lake Union, which sits in the middle of Seattle just north of downtown. The rides last 45-60 minutes, but you must register early to have a good chance of reserving a spot. Boats leave every 15-30 minutes, depending on quickly they fill up, so... More

First things first, this is FREE! Which is awesome, but after having an hour ride with our delightful skipper Jerry, I would have easily paid for this enjoyable activity. Make sure to get to the place when it opens so you can sign up for your boat ride time!

our trip to seattle would have been an almost total disappointment if it weren't for this place. admittedly ,were prejudice. we have a sailboat. but its fiberglass and wooden boats always intrigue me. I love to inspect how they're put together. these things are up close and personal. very interesting and if you're lucky enough to be there when people... More
