If the long lines are around when you visit I would recommend checking out inside and then heading a short walk away to a normal Starbucks for the exact same produce. I visited on MLK Day and thankfully there were no lines, however in previous days to this they were approximately ~50 people in lines waiting for a coffee.

Good service, go early to avoid the lines and dont expect food to be served at this location. Interesting piece of history.

It was the 1990s when I visited Starbucks in Seattle. That was the beginning. At that time, Amazon also started in Seattle. I remember making Americano by using two paper cups. The coffee was much stronger than it is now. It is meaningful to go to the original.

No trip to Seattle would be complete without seeing where this coffee giant got it's start. I recommend going early or late to avoid crowds. There is certain merchandise (supposedly) only sold there. I bought a $5 original store gift card with a card as a cheap souvenir. We went around 8:30 pm on a Friday and waited ten minutes.... More

If you are any kind of Starbucks fan at all then you need to make a pilgrimage to the first Starbucks Store where it all started. Not only can you buy the Original Pike Place Coffee here, you can buy collectibles that are only available at the first store

There isn't really anything cool or different about this Starbucks. Unless you count waiting in line for 30 minutes for a cup of coffee cool or unique. It was cool to experience the history of it I guess. But Starbucks isn't exactly historic. Unless you area diehard Starbucks fan (or married to one), it's not worth stopping.

Technically this is the second Starbucks location but don't tell the people in the always long line. The real first Starbucks was located at 2000 Western Avenue from 1971–1976. That cafe later moved to 1912 Pike Place, its present location. My suggestion is to take a picture and keep moving, there is another Starbucks across 1st Ave at Pike.

First off, I will say it was kind of a strange experience - sightseeing on a 'corporate' level? But still...I'm a Starbucks addict and my husband works in the retail sector, so it was on our list to see since we were visiting Pike Place Market. We actually really got a kick out of seeing the location and the old... More

If you are a die hard Starbucks fan you will want to come here. If you aren't you will be irritated about the line and all the people. There are other locations to choose from in Seattle, they are everywhere. I love Starbucks. Seattle is my home even though I currently reside in the U.K. I've been to the first... More

This place is famous just because is the Original Starbucks. Basically, the drinks are the same as all the other store. If you want to visit you have to be patient because always there is a long line.
