This is our second performance at 5th Ave theater. This time, we took our 2 teenage sons to Mrs. Doubtfire. The Asian themed interior is so nice. The only complaint from my wife is that the mens' washroom is ground level, while the ladies' is 2 flights of stairs. This makes it very difficult for women especially wearing heels.
Wonderful performance of Mrs. Doubtfire. Enjoyable and super energetic. However, I do prefer the performance of Annie last year.

Opening night for the production was seamless. Amazing in all ways! Singing was beautiful and majestic theatre to house the production.

I've been a season subscriber since 1986. If you like Broadway musicals, that should say enough right there. The theatre has been restored to it's original glory and the company brings the best of the best musicals (usually 6 per year) to the public. When you're a subscriber you get a discount to the shows, assigned seats (I'm front row center), free parking vouchers and discounts at local eateries. There are also many other shows and concerts put on throughout the year that you can get discounts to as well.

What a great historic theater to catch a Broadway play at - wonderful, intimate venue with a touch of historic charm - very easy to get to in downtown Seattle. Plenty of parking close by, and wonderful restaurants & hotels all within walking distance. Tulio's Italian is just two block down and what a great way to kick off the evening with a wonderful dinner, followed by the theater, and then late night drinks and dessert at any number of establishments close by. Enjoy!

Loved the large lobby, plus you have to see the faux Chinese decor! Someone went to a lot of trouble to try to make this place look authentic. Good views from almost every seat.

It is a beautiful theater so carefully restored. Good sight lines throughout the main floor. And, we have ethusiastically supported all of the "new" stage productions held here over the years. We've rejoiced in their New York successes and lamented some not so successful shows. However, the time has come for us to leave The Fifth Avenue Theater. We always buy "best seats" in the house. Over the past 2-3 years we feel the acoustics have been terrible. After some real disappointments on the main floor, we tried the first few rows of the balcony. It was just awful. We know Les Mis very well, have seen it many times here and in New York, yet we could not follow the lyrics in a recent production. During intermission, people all around us were complaining about the same thing. Maybe we understood half of "Next To Normal." And, on it goes. We have decided to give our entertiainment dollars to other venues and wish The Fifth Avenue the very best. It is a beautiful venue deserving of better acoustics. In fact, don't we all?

Was in town for a medical conference. Went to see Austen's Pride. Terrific. Theater only does musicals and you wouldn't think making a musical out of Pride and Prejudice would work but it does. Great voices. If you are in town don't miss it.

I was pleased with the homey layout and the configuration of the set up to provide the best view and hearing of the Actors.

We have been subscribers of the 5th Avenue Theater for over 10 years. We love it. My husband and I love to fly to NY and see shows on weekends - since we had kids, we cannot do it as often. The 5th produces not only many legacy shows like Wicked, West Side Story and White Christmas, but they create shows that have gone on to Broadway and won Tony Awards - those include Hairspray, Memphis and A Christmas Story to name a few. The theater itself is gorgeous, the talent is incredible and the overall experience is so much fun. If you love live musical theater, you will love the 5th Avenue Theater.

I have been a fan of the 5th Avenue Theatre since moving to the Seattle area a decade ago. The theatrical productions are stunning! I have always been charmed and intrigued by the inventive sets and lighting. The orchestra adds so much to the overall experience as the audience is surrounded by live theatre (trumpets and all)! The theatrical organization does an outstanding job of deciding which shows to bring to the 5th Ave each year. Along with standard favorites, they have brought new productions that have gone on to be hits in New York. Tickets are affordable and the experience is thrilling.

Hi Deborah! We will have our production of Disney's The Little Mermaid running during that time. In fact, we just released some previously available seats for the matinee on November 26, if that might work for you! Tickets are QUICKLY selling out for those dates, though, so you'd want to get them as soon as possible. They range in price from $36 to $180, depending on where you would like to sit. You can find more information on our website, or you can call our box office at 206.625.1900.

Any recommendations on seat selection? Are there seats to avoid?
Written June 19, 2016
Lower level seating is the best, the upper level seats are a bit steep and the stairs are modern and well lit. My wife has walking issues(she needs a cane). I have been seated all over the venue and the view is always good and the sound system is top shelf.

You cannot legally take pictures of anything related to the performance -- set, stage, curtains, scrim, decorations, and so on -- and you may not take pictures/recordings during a performance. These are copyrighted elements and productions. And frankly, taking pictures, beyond being illegal due to breaking copyright, is discourteous to your fellow audience members. You should be there to watch the show, not to take pictures of the show and remove yourself from the event. If you want a photo, you can usually purchase an album at the concierge of professional, authorized photos of the show. Everything about the show is entertainment that is provided to you because you pay a ticket or buy merchandise; the money is used to fund the theatre, the performers, and the staff. It's not done for free, and if you want something as a memory, you can usually get what you want through authorized materials.
I'm not trying to play the bad guy here; I've gone to the 5th Avenue (and other venues) for decades; I also have close friends and family members who participate in these productions, on stage, behind the scenes, and in the orchestral pits. I love the theatre, and I love the experience, and I recognize that the entire event is the production.
Not taking pictures without permission, and paying for authorized photos, is in my opinion the right way to collect stuff for memories.
Enjoy the moment for what it is. Be there, in the theatre, and wait until afterwards to collect your keepsakes.
The theatre itself may have other restrictions upon photographs of the lobby or other features outside the performance hall.

Policy as with most live performance venues is that you are not allowed to photograph or video while the production is on. At some shows they will announce , the end of the show , as the Entertainers are coming out for the applause that photos may then be taken .

How difficult is the walk from the Bremerton Ferry to the theatre and back. Any suggestions on a route and the amount of time required?
