Sand Point Magnuson Park is always a great choice if you want to spend some time in nature but without leaving the city. It's a large park that has many options. If you have a dog take them here.

We stopped for a brief visit to the Magnusen Dog Park --- so much space! Several different areas, with one for small dogs too. It was a great place for our dog to get some exercise and meet some new friends.
