Great co-ed spa, in the heart of Seattle

This is a great place, with hot, warm, and icy plunge pools, steambath, and Russian-style dry sauna. The facility is small, and the vibe is friendly.

I've been going to Banya5 for about 5 years. I don't live in Seattle but every time I'm in town, either for work or visiting my friends, I try to make a special trip here. I love the hot sauna and then the cold plunge pool and then into either the tepid pool or hot whirlpool. For me, the question... More

I had the best massage ever at Banya 5 recently - the person who helped me listened carefully to my needs and tailored the experience. Absolutely perfect massage. On the flip side, the rest of the experience did not match up. The treatment rooms are small and semi-private, furnished more like an start-up office space. I could hear conversations all... More

I just got back from a massage. Johnny was wonderful and customized it acording to my needs. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that you had to undress in an open change room (females and males are separated ), put on a bath rope and flip flops and walk through the spa area up the stairs to... Had an extremely relaxing afternoon here. This place is nestled in a rather dense area and thus no space is left to waste indoors either. Outside of the small M/W changing/shower rooms, the banya is coed so swimsuits are required (they can loan you one too). There's a small hot tub, a body temperature salt tub, and a REALLY cold... After a night of drinking, a trip to this day spa was exactly what we needed. They have a wet sauna, dry sauna, cold pool, saltwater pool, and hot tub. They also offer a napping room (!!!) and games and drinks upstairs. You can either just enjoy the spa or get a treatment done as well. I got the 20... More

One of the only Russian banyas in the area - great central location, very clean and updated. Nice amenities and friendly service. Unfortunately, something happend to the main furnace during our visit on Sunday morning, so the temparature nthe sauna room was not hot enough. Very disappointing, especially since we were out of town and made a special trip tp... More

Just do it and enjoy! I can't remember, but on certain days between certain hours you can go and pay 1/2 and enjoy hours of wonderful detoxing in their different sauna rooms and pools. They also offer body scrubs and massage. People and staff are super nice!

This is a great sauna and hamam, don't get me wrong. Has a lounge with tea and citrus water at no extra charge. No use of Venik allowed in Russian steam room. The owner stated that is because of too much debris off Venik, and that allow Venik on Sundays and Tuesday after 8pm, but only Venik provided by the... More

Free parking next to banya. The entry is expensive, $43 but you get a break if buy the service. The change room is small and has a shower and lockers. This is co-ed. So bathing suit is a must. The banya has Russian sauna! running at about 220 F. The heat is very tolerable. It can get very humid, especially... More
