The "floors" upstairs were grated, stainless steel. Very modern, yet OUT THERE designs throughout the architecture. Got a tour from an avid library patron. Parked under it, took elevator and WOW what a shocker as we left the lift onto a main upstairs floor, conveyer...More

Great place to take some travel or local pictures. The library itself seems to fill the local need, although the city can do a better job of helping out the homeless so they don't need to be camped out scaring the little ones.

Great space architecturally with wonderful spaces to enjoy...spacious auditorium to hear a lecture or panel discussion. Plenty of computers to use, too. Relaxing place to hang out.

The library's architecture is gorgeous however there were a lot of homeless people inside. I didn't feel safe, i.e., leaving my belongings behind to retrieve books off of the shelf. I kept a watchful eye around as I saw two people with obvious mental issues...More

Incredible Architecture in the heart of Seattle. With over 8 floors of literature, you can find virtually anything. Study/reading spaces are located throughout the library for your convenience. Help desk members are super friendly and excited to help!

The guidebook definitely oversold this. This is worth a walk by but not much more. The best picture is on 5th Avenue on the steps of the Law Courts. The inside is so-so interesting. Maybe worth a picture or two.

We visited the library on a recommendation. The architecture takes advantage of the sight and the building provides look-outs to the city/ It's interesting to see what a good library offers to patrons. Worth a visit.
