I've been wanting to visit this place for some time. I've read the reviews and do not believe some of them fairly represent it. I know from my own Roses ( over 70) that August is not a good time to see the roses at...More

Only worth a visit during the short season when the roses are at their best ... otherwise not very interesting. The park is well laid-out and would be accessible for wheelchair users. Lovely displays of roses from throughout their history, and good (bi-lingual English and...More

Knowing very well this “Roseraie” I can say, if you have the chance to go there, that it will be a very nice and agreeable moment even if you are not a fan of roses. For sure we are talking about a natural environment and...More

Doué-la-Fontaine is famous for its roses. Visiting a rose garden in this village, we expected to see something beautiful. This is probably the worst garden we have ever visited. The roses themselves were overgrown and branches hung like brambles over the footpaths. Some bushes were...More

Visited here on a lovely sunny day. Was lots to see and a visit underground was very interesting. A huge variety of roses to be seen. Obviously a lot of hard work was put in by all the growers.
