It just looks like a greenhouse on the outside, but walk in and you are transported to a tropical paradise. Amid lush foliage, flowers, a fish pond, and the sounds of parakeets, you will forget it is winter in Alaska. And, it's free!

Some challenging areas so pay attention. We were met by a local and he lead us through the park. It is lovely and green and he said he saw a sow and 3 cubs this past week so be alert as you cycle.

Russian Jack is located close to JBER on Bragaw and Boniface. It is a city park with a biking trail that also serves for a easy hike or cross country skiing. A small golf course offers an opportunity for visitors to,say they golfed in AK....More

We took the kids and grandkids sledding and had a fabulous time. We brought a little cooker and heated hot chocolate. There is a building with bathrooms and it was just a great time. Sledding at night and the hills were well lit and safe
