But well worth it! This place is a definite find. When the fish are running, you are able to see them pool before they jump the ladder. We were mesmerized just watching nature in action. Inside, the huge tanks with viewing windows provides valuable information...More

I took my family to visit the Fish Hatchery and found they had built a beautiful facility with lots to see. It was great seeing the tanks inside as well as the fish getting ready to spawn at the fish ladder/falls area.

Nice place to visit; not a long visit. Be sure you find this on a map of downtown; maybe easy to get lost. Truly appreciate the efforts to conserve Alaska's fisheries!

We went to this fish hatchery not expecting too much, and were pleasantly surprised. Not only can you see their tanks, but you can see several stages of the fish hatching process. The artwork and interior of the building is awesome! - Very modern and...More

There isn't a fisherman in Alaska who doesn't resent at least a little, the funding that went into the Elmendorf hatchery to direct tourism to its doors, when we have many existing hatcheries that are vital to our industry and need attention. I say, boycott...More
