I ran along this trail as part of the Anchorage Half Marathon. If you can go the length of the trail, you will be treated to a variety of views, from mud flats to tree covered ponds. Just beware the wildlife and go with friends...More

A popular paved trail along the water and train tracks. During the busy times you have to dodge fast bicycles. Be sure to stay off the beach, there is muddy quicksand and people have died when the tide comes rushing back in.

You can rent a bike plus gear in downtown Juneau. One shop on 4th is open during the off season. You don't have to be an expert bicyclist to enjoy the trail. Very scenic.

I saw a moose in the early evening on the more remote portion of the trail past the airport. I saw no whales but I was on bicycle and did not spend extended time sitting along the shore line.
