We took both the Glacier Discovery and the Denali roundtrip to Talkeetna. Can't say enough about how great the Alaska Railroad is having ridden many trains in the States and Canada. You're missing a lot if you don't ride this railroad.

We took the train from Seward to Anchorage and it was a gorgeous Trip! The Alaskan railroad has regular coach seats and dome seating with dining too. Either way you get good views.

Got off the train here from Seward and it was so easy to get our luggage and continue with our vacation. It's small but you're just there for a few minutes. There are clean bathrooms and lots of brochures too.

Listen doo-doo heads. This section is for reviewing the Anchorage Rail Road Depot NOT the actual train rides. The depot is conveniently located downtown Anchorage. It's easily accessible by car or walking from the tourist areas "4th street etc". They have a quaint gift shop...More
