I had a late flight out of Anchorage and passed a couple of hours sitting here enjoying the scenery and eating an ice cream cone (from the ice cream truck in the parking lot). Planes fly directly overhead leaving Anchorage, so it's a fun spot...More

Great overlook of Cook Inlet, especially if not taking the T. Knowles trail; has plenty of parking, a covered seating area, but no restroom facilities. Mosquitoes were plentiful.

We started downtown and hiked the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail out to this point. It provides beautiful views, and had an ice cream truck in the parking lot!

You can drive here or take the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail from downtown. This park is next to the coast and a great place to watch the sunset or look for beluga whales (when they are in). There is also a roadway you can walk...More
