Played the Creek Course while in Anchorage. Great views from an excellent location cut into the middle of a forest... pretty fun layout too. Even saw a Black Bear wander out onto the course and sit down next to the white tee box during the round! Very reasonable green fees. Definitely recommend a round here if you are in Anchorage.

Where else can you see bear, moose, and fox roaming the fairways. Spectacular views and the staff are friendly.

My hubby is a novice golfer, but this is by far his favorite course and we live across the street from the Palmer Golf course! He's seen a black bear and a fox while playing a round here. He thinks it's worth the drive.

Although the RTJones designed Eagle Glen on the Elmendorf Air Force base is considered the premier course in town (and for good reason based on the shape of the course), it is often hard to get onto. The Moose Run Golf Course, which is part of the Fort Richardson Army Base, but open to the public, is just as good... More
