This store features both quilt fabric and yarn. I liked it because I always buy 'local' yarns....locally spun, died etc. They had quiviet (musk ox) yarn, which is expensive everywhere but a must-have for a true yarn aficionado. They also had nice Alaskan themed quilt...More

Beautiful fabrics and other novelties. They have a pin cushion that's a circle of Eskimos: unique, useful souvenir. Loved the batik looking, Alaskan printed fabrics.

I don't quilt, but I sew shirts, and this store had fabulous fabrics for shirts. A lot of quilting fabrics are too coarse or heavy for shirts, yet this shop had such a great range it was possible to find shirting quality fabrics among them....More

This shop has fabric that you won't find in the lower 48. Their high-quality batiks with Alaskan native designs are better souvenirs than mass-produced trinkets found at tourist stores. (My friends will be receiving potholders for Christmas..shhh! don't tell them.) The hardest part selecting only...More

This is not your neighborhood quilt shop! The fabrics are unique and reflect Alaska. The help is outstanding and will assist in shipping purchases home. Only comment is there should be a larger bench, no clue where it might be placed, for significant others who...More

A quick stop here as part of a break while traveling from Talkeetna to Kenai Penninsula on a Princess land/cruise program. While mostly oriented to quilting the store also had an inventory of counted cross stitch merchandise and in particular that with an Alaskan theme....More
