You must marvel at the Engineering achievement. This was our first fully day and I wish we had more time but loved what we saw.

This was a fantastic stop on the way from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon. Parking was a bit far from the dam itself and the signs were not particularly intuitive. I enjoyed the panels on how the dam was built.

We stopped on our way back to Vegas from the Grand Canyon and pleased we did. There are 2 tours available but not today which is a shame as whilst it's nice to walk the dam from Nevada to Arizona and take pictures it would...More

We took both the dam and power plant tour which I would recommend you doing. We enjoyed seeing the inner workings of this dam and marveling about how they built it. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Our tour guide was very informative and answered all...More

One has to see this in person to appreciate this marvel. While we were unable to take a tour, just driving across and taking the whole dam thing in was awesome. If you are not interested in the tour, we recommend driving over the bridge...More

Drove over an hour but lots were full, and those that weren't were toi far away to really get out, walk and enjoy. People trying to take pics not paying attention and just walking out into traffic. No real oversight of traffic, pedestrian or otherwise....More

The day I went to Hoover Dam the tours were cancelled due to elevator mechanical issues. On such a day, you can still visit the Visitor Center for $10. If you take a tour and pay the $15 or $30 prices, it includes the Visitor...More

Get here early in the morning to avoid the heat in the afternoon. Another advantage of arriving early is you can skip the paid parking lot and park in one of the free lots once you cross the actual dam. There is a gift shop...More

My third trip to see the Hoover Dam. The first time I saw it in person I realized that one has to see it to believe it, picture don't do it justice. There is a lot of history there. Would recommend seeing it on a...More

We had a great day at the dam. The tours were not happening because of problems with the elevators which was a big let down for us. The size of the structure is amazing , the visitors center is nice, but it cost $10 a...More

I'd also recommend renting a car, much cheaper, and much faster. Plus you can go when and where you want. The bus takes a long time to get all the people from the various hotels and the same on the way back. Drive to... More

I am not familiar with this company, however, I think the round-trip tour time allowed should be 5-6 hours. There are very decent and clean washroom facilities onsite and some basic food/snack capabilities. It's a very... More
