Great to see but for a dam, very commercial. Park close, pay. See Visitor Centre, pay. There is free parking and great views for free but it can be a bit of a walk. Would be a lot of a walk in summer.

We enjoyed our power plant tour at the dam. An informative guide gave us lots of interesting details. Had time onour own to explore the top of the dam to enjoy the views. A fabulous stop on our way to Valley of Fire State Park!

Wow! Amazing sight to see. We toured the power plant and it was so interesting to see and hear about. We learned a lot. It is a beautiful national landmark. Make the trip!

National place to go jist to say you been here. Not fabulous. Take a tour and learn and see much more. On your own, be sure to read up on the stats on line.

The dam itself is pretty impressive to see. I'd agree with most of the reviews I've read so far. It's a pretty expensive day -- (1) $10 to park in the garage on the Nevada side. Looks like people parked for free on the Arizona...More

So worth the short drive from Vegas. Drive over the main dam structure and park on the other side. Gives you a great view of the complex and you can walk around and see it all.

That I am not sure about but I don't advise it because parking is not free. So to get in you have to pass through security and pay to park so it may be best to do the tour the day you are there or, as another reviewer... More
