A great place to breathe fresh air after being in Vegas! Took the $15 power plant tour vs the $30 tour. Sufficient. Can go see outside without a tour for free. Security takes a while to get in.

The Hoover Dam is just a must-see. I mean it’s so grand it’s breathtaking and picturesque. We come here once a year to get away from the busyness of Las Vegas and just take in the sights. It’s also about 50 min away from Vegas.

We took the generator room tour. The tour is great for families, couples, and reduced mobility people. Learned the history of the dam, the story of it's construction and the ~100 deaths that happened during it's construction. There were also funny stories (Like the toilet...More

Very nice views, some history but nothing overwhelming. Parking was easy, they offer both stairs and an elevator for those who may need it. My suggestion is GO EARLY and wear sunscreen !

Very cool views of the dam and lots of information about construction, etc. Did not take any of the tours offered but did enough in foot to satisfy my family. Don’t forget to take the new bridge walkway to get the best views of the...More

The Hoover Dam has several things to do. However, if you’re looking for a good quick walk, you don’t have to pay to walk the bridge across to Arizona. The view is awesome! Parking is the only thing you must pay for. It’s $10.00.

Hi, No organized tour will be required to visit this place. You can plan as an individual this trip, my suggestion is to visit this place on the way to Grand Canyon. 2-3 hours should be sufficient. Enjoy your stay!!

I read some of the other suggestions and they are all valid, but Red Rocks is 30miles west and the Ring of Fire 50 miles to the north. I’d go across Hoover Dam into Arizona for about 8 miles and find Willow Beach. There’s a... More
