Fun place to walk around. Interesting shopping and nice restaurants. You can even take a carriage ride around the market. Nice relaxing feel, and fun whether you're looking for casual or fancy.

The Old Market is a great place to stroll and sip. The street musicians are an added incentive to visit. One can catch a carriage ride here. The art galleries are some of the best in the midwest.

The problem with going off season is that half of the places (it seemed) were closed or under construction. That didn't stop me from finding fun stores in which to spend money or a great meal at Jackson St. Tavern. Go to the Old Market around 11:00 a.m. on a Saturday morning sometime. The stores are just opening, parking is easy and you'll feel so comfortable with the surroundings of the Old Market area and its a feeling you'll get that it's hard to describe. It's like getting a breath of fresh air and any worries that you might have... More

Many unique shops and restaurants. Most very good. They lost a star attraction when the French Cafe closed. For Reasonable, filling meals it is hard to beat the Spaghetti Works

The Old Market area is a very trendy find in Omaha. The architecture and availability of shops and restaurants is amazing. Can't wait to go back in the summer months and enjoy all that it has to offer outdoors, too.
