Many cities are seeing value in recycling older sections of near-downtown areas as more people seek living near work and downtown entertainment venues. Omaha is one example with the Old Market area. We found a smattering of a few interesting shops and local art displays. But many of the first floor spaces were taken up by restaurants of all sizes... More

The Old Market is a MUST when visiting Omaha! There is something for everyone. Small boutiques like Souq that offer unique items you wont find anywhere else in town. V Mertz, the classic fine dining experience, offers lovely wine by the glass choices - I still think they have their charcuterie - cheese plates, great desserts. It can be quite... More

There is a wide variety of shops in Old Town. I enjoy seeing what they have, even if much of it isn't my taste. Love all the restaurants and breweries in the area that you can walk to.

I went shopping here with a group of friends who were in town visiting. We all enjoyed the various boutiques and restaurants, the candy store, and the antique stores. There is something here for everyone! There are many options for lunch and snacks, coffee, cupcakes, and treats. We loved the music store, the ornament store and the jewelry boutiques. I... More

This area of downtown Omaha should go on your "to see" list! You can all savor the many different restaurants located in the OM. I'll post reviews of Kitchen Table & Wheatfields under the restaurant section. I didn't have time to experience all of OM, so my first advice is to give yourself a minimum of 2 hours if you... More

Enjoyed walking around the Old Market in Omaha. Visited many little shops. Loved the vintage clothing shop. Some of the shops are really over priced, but we were mainly there to look around. Something for everyone - coffee shops, candy shops, cupcake shops, card stores with lots of other items for sale, knick-knacks and much more. Lots of restaurants to... More

We've been to this part of Omaha quite a bit and there always seems to be something worth driving/parking for in the dining department. Although we prefer the small town feel of the Benson neighborhood when its warm outside, the Old Market is great any time!

you MUST visit the downtown slides and MUST visit the pedestrain bridge that walks you across the river with the kids! Great bars, great restaurants, Christmas lights during the Holidays, and there is almost music playing! My favorite thing to do during nice weather is take my dog for a walk through Old Market.
