This law office where Lincoln used to work is just opposite the Old State Capitol. You'll recognize it by a monument in front, his family escorting him out and preparing to address the audience. The office is famous also as a place where Mr. Lincoln...More

As others have said in their reviews, the building is closed for renovation. It is downtown, within walking distance of the museum, the Old State Capitol, Union Station, etc. It is a photo op for any Lincoln fan.

I could look in the windows and see some of the displays. I'm sure it would have been interesting to tour. It was nice to see where Lincoln practiced law, even if I couldn't get in the building. Across the street from the Old State...More

This site is currently being renovated, as of October 2017, but it is still nice to see the building where Abraham Lincoln worked as a lawyer. You can drive by it and see the building and beautiful bronze statue of Lincoln and his family, or...More

I went to the Office in September, and it was undergoing renovation and was closed. It is, however, very historic, so it is worth a look if you are in Springfield.

Unfortunately I can't comment on the inside of the building it was being renovated but the outer shell of the building remains and it's in great shape and must have gone through restoration also at some point. Outside is a statue with the Lincoln family...More

We could not go inside but got to read the informational plaques and get pictures. It is right across the street from the Old State Capitol. A definite must if you are a Lincoln buff.

The law office has been closed for awhile, but it is still worth going to visit. It is near the old state capitol and Lincoln square.

We visited this site years ago and found it fascinating--including the old post office. The site has been closed for restoration and we were told it was open. This was not the case and out grandchildren had to go away with the ideas they had...More
