I loved this place. It's tucked into a gorge surrounded by water falls. But it's a swimming pool, not a hot spring. The water is the perfect temperature for doing some laps, but too cold for soaking away your aches and worries. Four stars because...More

Easy hike in a beautiful valley lands you in this unassuming hot spring. We visited in late July, 2017 with our four kids (ages 6-11) and it was lots of fun. The kids enjoyed the hike in along the river where they threw rocks as...More

This place could have been an amazing one yet the volunteers gave the wrong decision to maintain basic facilities so that tourists can be more comfortable, such as a changing room. The consequence is that you get a filthy location right next to the beautiful...More

This place was amazing. The road is terrible and riddled with pot holes on the way in, but if you take your time it wasn't too bad. Once you park, walk into the valley and you will find an easy trail to follow. Not difficult...More

You have to walk to this secret spot - only about fifteen minutes across the lava fields - but on a cooler, misty day, this pool is perhaps not what you're looking for! The setting is just lovely, and the water was by no means...More

It’s not as secret as we would have wanted. There were few other people when we came and more people approaching when we were leaving. You should change to swimsuits in your car, because changing rooms are really dirty and smelly. It’s about 5-10min walk...More

For me personally, I need much hotter water to even think about taking off my layers of clothing and getting into a pool outside but my husband jumped right in and enjoyed himself. We did spend half our time there watching the instagramers try to...More

Based on other reviews, we had lost every hope and interest to enjoy a swim in a nice quiet environment. We went to see it anyway and felt so sad....what once must have been a lovely place for locals is now a dirty place threated...More

The Seljavallalaug pool is on a nice spot near the ring road, so it is easily accessible and only a short walk away. Unfortunately there are too many visitors, the pool was crowded and felt dirty.

We visited on a particularly cold and rainy day, and couldn't wait to hop in the hot water. However, the water was not hot, or even warm for that matter. The views are stunning, and the ten minute hike to the secluded pool was fairly...More

I don't know where the campsite is, but the parking area to the hotspring is about 20-25 minute walk.

If you're concerned about road conditions, check Road.is online. They update it regularly and can give you a good idea of conditions. The secondary or F-Roads really change depending on the time of year.
