Awesome thunderous Waterfall

Absolutely worth a trip here, there is a steep walk to the top beside the waterfall, something I will do when I return next

Yes another waterfall in Iceland which you can't miss, this falls has stairs to go on to the top for a better view. If you are fit enough you can climb those stairs, but definitely not for old people. There are no gift shops or rest rooms near by this falls. You have a wonderful view from the top of... More

Last time I was in Skogafoss the sun was out and a rainbow decorated the edge of the waterfall, hovering over the water steam and the background rocks. A random couple had decided to take their wedding pictures by the fall, so the bride ran (or tried to run) across the rocky path, in her white dress. It was surreal... More

There are quite a few waterfalls in this area. This one is great, easy to get to from the road and has plenty of parking; no fees or facilities.

Really worth visiting! You can walk up to the top and right to the bottom which is quite fun. Also it's featured on an album cover by The Streets which is pretty neat!

Parking is plentiful and simple to find. Great layout with viewing platforms, disappointment is when you get to top viewing platform doesn't extend out far enough to give a true view of the waterfall

I have never seen a wider water fall this close! Truly spectacular. You can get drenched near the bottom or climb up many many stairs for a view from above! The stairs are very steep and long! Not for those out of shape or scared of heights. If you want to get close be sure to wear waterproof clothes! If... More

There are no words to describe this waterfall. It's beautiful. There are metal stairs on the side of the waterfall that allow you to view from the top of the waterfall. The stairs are also access to a beautiful hiking trail that follows the river through the hills. The trail leads to other smaller waterfalls and water features to view.

Fabulous site to see, kids loved getting wet. Would have been nicer on a dry day but loved it regardless.

A popular waterfall in the Ring road. You climb walk up the stairs (40min) to have a better view from the platform at the top. Another must see attractions.
