Visit it in a light rainy day and the views were extraordinary. A huge waterfall and above it a vivid rainbow. There are almost 430 steps to the top in order to see the waterfall and the valley from the above. Worth your effort.

This is one of Iceland's iconic waterfalls. We were fortunate to be there on a sunny day when there is nearly always a rainbow in the spray. Simply one of the most stunning natural wonders I've ever seen. A curtain of water falling nearly 200...More

Worth staying at the hotel so you can go later at night and lose the crowd. Take the stairs and keep walking on the trail, there are beautiful falls to see beyond Skogafoss.

I loved this waterfall. It's right along the roadside and is free to visit. It was raining a little when we attended but it seemed to keep the crowds away. The waterfall is popular and very beautiful.

Skogafoss was more beautiful and larger than I expected, it's definately worth the drive from Reykjavik.

Hi yes there's a couple of restaurants and restrooms on site very close to the falls. Hope this helps. Try Seljalandfoss falls about 20km from here it's amazing you can walk behind the falls here.
